COCKAIGNE “a land of plenty in medieval myth, an imaginary place of extreme luxury and ease where physical comforts and pleasures are always immediately at hand”.

The Cockaigne Summer days of June and July have been filled with sun and the shining moon, billions of stars, glinting water, singing, soaring birds, curious deer, new friends and basil and cherries around a table with my beloved family. But also some work, hot, hard and rewarding.

Thoughts that are bittersweet as wildfires burn.
